Zoe-perry
Perry was the daughter of Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). She made her first appearances in television shows as Jackie Harris, a character which was played by her mother in the ABC sitcom Roseanne. Perry did not decide to consider a career in acting until she reached adulthood because her parents were afraid of the negative effects that stress could cause. Perry was shy in high-school and was not a performer. Her first acting experience was at Northwestern University to gain friends as she transferred to the university from Boston University. Perry had the opportunity to secure minor TV roles in Law & Order: Criminal Intent following her graduation. However, her homesickness caused her to move to California to return, where she started performing on stage. In 2013, she was a part of The Other Place on Broadway with her mother. In 2015, she appeared together with Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prizewinning Drama Anna Christie. It is part of the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry played a lead role in nine episodes of ABC's show The Family. Her father portrayed her in the ABC drama Scandal. In the same year, the actress was selected to play the younger version of Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon, a spin-off of the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory again portraying a younger model of the mother's character. She was cast in the role despite her close family connection to the character.
