Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American author and designer who has received numerous awards for her work. She advocates the rights of animals. Her movies comprise Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus ( 1969) as well as The Getaway ( 1972). She was raised by an artist family from New York and wanted to explore a career in the art. After working as an assistant to photographers, she turned her attention to modeling and acting. In her first two films she received recognition and was awarded an award called the Golden Globe Award as Most Popular Young Actress. MacGraw quickly became famous in the year 1970 following her hit movie Love Story. She was selected for an Academy Award and won a Golden Globe. MacGraw was deemed the top female box-office actress in the world after only three films. In 1972, her footprints along with her signature were inscribed on the wall at Grauman's Chinese Theater. The actress has appeared in a variety of different films, such as The Getaway Convoy Players and the miniseries on TV The Winds of War among other. Moving Pictures is her autobiography, published in 1991. MacGraw has been married 3 times.
